The new album 'Of Unsound Mind' is now available for pre-order. The digital version will be released through Crunch Pod and made available on September 21. For those that would like a physical product, I will be doing a VERY limited run of physical discs; only 50 hand-numbered copies will be available, so you best act fast if you would like one.
The price of the album is set at a very reasonable $10 + shipping ($0 if I can hand it to you in person, $2 within the US and $4 elsewhere).
Pre-orders will ship the week before the official release date (September 21), so those who pre-order will have the disc in-hand on or before that day.
PRE-ORDERS SOLD OUT
If you are on the reserve list and still need to pay, send a PayPal payment directly to lexincrypt@gmail.com ($10+shipping [$2 domestic, $4 international]).
Here are a few snippets from the new album to tide you over until the release date:
A storm has been lurking overhead and the rains of discontent, self-loathing, and helplessness are now coming down in full force. After a five-year hiatus, Lexincrypt returns with its new album "Of Unsound Mind," its most mature, dark, and anguished material to date. The philosophy of Lexincrypt has always centered on maintaining a balance of aggression and depression; that balance, however, has been lost as the latter has inevitably consumed the former. With a disconsolate focus on personal shortcomings, ineptitude, instability, and the absence of the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel, "Of Unsound Mind" touches on the many angles of just that -- a mind with a penchant for self-destruction, exhausted by days dark and darker.
The turmoil and experiences that paved the way for this release were not only emotionally difficult but also exceptionally draining in every respect, conjuring otherwise dormant personal demons as well as dealing with the ones that never went away. Because of this, KarlozM (Manufactura), Ash (Filament 38), and Xiescive have lent their remarkable talents to reinstate the momentum in this endeavor -- an endeavor that may have otherwise remained forever stagnant. Lexincrypt also finds a new home with Crunch Pod to bring you its most self-defining album to date.
Track listing: 01. Misanthropic Me, 02. Scar Tissue, 03. Let Me Die, 04. Of Unsound Mind, 05. Latent Affliction, 06. Crawl to My Grave, 07. The Answer (feat. Xiescive), 08. Unfaithful (feat. Filament 38), Apathy Is Not An Option, 10. The November Plague (feat. KarlozM)
manufactura collaboration
march 29, 2010
Manufactura's new album "As They Drown In Their Lies" was officially announced this morning. I am very proud and fortunate to have collaborated with my good friend and respected musical colleague on two tracks. Here's the official release statement:
Influential, controversial, admired and despised. The Madness known as Manufactura returns with the brand new album, "As They Drown In Their Lies". Once again blending everything from rhythmic noise to electro, dubstep, techno, trance and IDM. For this new work Manufactura has brought along a few friends for the production, for the damage and for the mayhem, including Lexincrypt, Iszoloscope, Electronic Substance Abuse (ESA) and Lucid Static. This particular body of work is being dedicated to all Poets, Writers, Artists & Musicians. It includes 4 tracks specifically reinterpreting the poems and songs of Charles Bukowski, Leonard Cohen, Jim Carroll & Lou Reed. Sinister, dark, twisted and filled with a distinctive malevolence that may cause this album to be considered one of Manufactura's heaviest and strongest releases to date.
Available through Crunch Pod on May 1st 2010
